Terrarium / Enclosure

Terrarium / Enclosure

You’re going to need an enclosure. The size largely depends on the number of frogs you’re keeping together. Many dart frogs are best kept in pairs and require a minimum of a 29-gallon tank while some species do best in a large 36x18x18 (60cm x 45cm x 45cm) W x D x H.

Each brand of Terrarium / Vivariums have their own pros and cons, these could include a mesh lid which could cause reduced humidity and or fruit fly escapees! Most enclosures such as the popular Exo Terras need some modifications to keep up that humidity that dart frogs require and stop those pesky flies getting out!

You could always go to a specialist company that design these enclosures with that in mind such as Tropical Factory UK.
